Code of Conduct
A safe, respectful community for everyone who loves sauna.
Last updated 10 July 2026.
The ASA community, our forum, member directory, messages, and events, is for connecting the people building sauna culture in Australia. Taking part means agreeing to treat others with respect. This applies everywhere you interact with other members, online and in person at ASA events.
Be respectful
Treat others as you would in person. Disagree with ideas, not people. Welcome newcomers and different backgrounds, experience levels, and points of view.
What is not allowed
- Harassment or bullying: targeting, intimidating, or repeatedly contacting someone who has asked you to stop.
- Hate speech or discrimination: attacks based on race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexuality, disability, or similar.
- Threats or violence: threatening harm to anyone.
- Sexual or inappropriate content: unwanted advances or explicit material.
- Sharing private information: posting or messaging someone's personal details without their consent.
- Spam or scams: unsolicited promotion, deceptive offers, or impersonating someone else.
Reporting and blocking
If someone makes you uncomfortable, you can block them at any time from a conversation or their profile. They are not told. You can also report a conversation for our team to review. We do not read your private messages except when a conversation is reported, and only to act on that report. While a report is open, the conversation is locked for both people.
What happens when conduct breaches these rules
Depending on what happened, we may issue a warning, restrict a member's ability to message others, remove content, or suspend or remove an account. Serious or repeated breaches lead to firmer action. We act on the safety of our members first.
